On March 1, 2013 the Social Security Administration has stopped issuing paper checks.
>> If you have a bank account, the federal Treasury Department will directly deposit your payments into your account. You need to provide SSA with information about your payments, including your Social Security or claim number, the amount of your monthly benefit, your bank’s routing number and your account number. You can do this online, or by telephone.
