Ruth Moen, Owner
Ruth Moen answeres the question Why choose her?
Leonard W. Moen & Associates was founded by Leonard Moen in 1978. Throughout the 1980’s Leonard used television advertising to popularize the notion that everybody, regardless of economic status, could use an attorney to settle their Personal Injury claim and tip the scales in favor of the injured party instead of the insurance company. Following the untimely death of her husband, Leonard W. Moen, in 1986 Ruth Moen completed law school and took over the firm.
Ruth Moen is the heart and soul of Leonard W. Moen & Associates. The firm emphasizes Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation (L&I Claims), and Social Security Disability matters. Through her understanding of personal crisis, Ruth is able to empathize with her clients who are facing their own suffering, due to no fault of their own. She is able to find common ground with clients from all backgrounds because of her own life experiences.
Ruth has an abundance of energy and her laugh is contagious. While she has been able to negotiate thousands of cases and provide her clients with the best possible outcomes for their claims, she prides herself on not wearing a suit to work every day. Ruth likes to connect with her clients without the stigma that surrounds the typical lawyer. She likes to connect with her clients on a level that makes her clients feel comfortable and welcomed. That’s why at Leonard W. Moen & Associates you will not find the typical law office, you will find walls painted in vibrant colors, Ruth’s personal artwork hanging on the walls and placed around the office, and an open, friendly staff that is waiting to help you work through your claim.
What we do:
In the beginning Leonard W. Moen & Associates was known for its Personal Injury and Bankruptcy practices. You may still even find an old commercial or two making its way around on the internet. Today, our firm’s foundation is still Personal Injury; however, we have replaced Bankruptcy with Workers’ Compensation (L&I Claims) and Social Security Disability. Our knowledgeable staff of Attorneys and Paralegals is eager to help you navigate the mountains of paperwork and legal pitfalls that make acting as your own advocate extremely difficult.
Your case is unique! No two injuries are exactly the same. You may be suffering from a brain injury; while someone who was in the same type of collision is suffering from a back injury. We listen to you and your special circumstances and create a path moving forward to a solution that is ideal for your case.
You may have been rejected from other law firms. You may have been told that you do not have a claim. Or that your case is too difficult and would cost too much to pursue. Not at Leonard W. Moen & Associates. We listen to every case and every claim. Ruth Moen brings a duel perspective to each and every case. She is both a lawyer and an artist. Being an artist has taught her to look at the world differently. There is no judgement, just observation. She will take in all of the facts of the case and work with you to develop a creative solution. If there is a legal solution Ruth will tell you how she plans to proceed with your Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, or Social Security Disability claim.
